Frozen Forgiveness

It’s April and we have had an “ice storm” the two previous days and today is torrential rain. This is not representative of “typical” April weather where secretion is seasonal rain, not ice. ( Just this morning I heard that on this date last year it was 22 degrees Celsius)
Ice is covering the creations in nature created by God. These are the dominant subject matters of my photography and there is still beauty in nature. Ice is representative of rigidity and frigidity, it is coldness, an absence of love and stagnates life. Human life can also be made rigid, cold and absent of love and stagnate of life when we deceive ourselves and deceive God of our sins.
“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.” (Psalm 32 ESV)
Psalm 32 is a reminder of God’s gift of divine forgiveness. In fact, we can only find divine forgiveness in God. God’s divine forgiveness is the removal of sin, guilt and the remembrance of sin.
To receive divine forgiveness we must confess our sins and repent of our sins. God’s forgiveness is a gift—a gift He freely offers us when we turn in faith to Christ.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 ESV)
